Happy Kids Mushrooming with Moku - Moku Mushroom

Hi dears. So today, I will be sharing about a small project that I did with Standard 1 (7 years old) pupils. During this Science lesson, my kids will be learning about flowering plants and non flowering plants. To make the lesson a bit interesting, I used Moku-moku mushroom to cultivate mushroom by our own. Moku-moku mushroom was a gift given by a Japan University Professor when he attended our school for his research. Personally, it’s a very useful gift. So I used it for my kids.

My lesson started with a quiz about non - flowering plants and how to grow them. For my surprise, I received lots of different answers for them. I was glad that I made them step out from the regular thinking circle. After the discussion, I introduced to them the Moku-moku mushroom. I explained the step to grow these mushroom. And I was happy to see them doing it hands-on. After 10 days of patience, we saw the result of these mushroom. The kids were really happy and excited to these mushroom. They were really proud to see their hard work.

You can do this activity at your class or even with your kids. Get your mushroom and make kids learning much more interesting. They will learn to appreciate the wonder of nature more.
